Hacking
Although hackers can be prosecuted under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the challenge of breaking into a computer often outweighs the threat of punishment. Some hackers believe their actions should cause corporations to practice better programming and security efforts and to test their programs and systems more thoroughly. Other hackers attempt to protect free speech and human rights throughout the world. For example, visit the Hacitvismo Web site (hacktivismo.com) to read about the members' programming efforts to develop software that increases freedom of expression. Then visit Web sites that describe how the USA Patriot Act of 2001 and the reauthorization resolution passed in 2006 increase the scope and penalties of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Should all hackers be prosecuted, or should some be exonerated if their efforts are done with a greater purpose, such as furthering a political concern? Write a report summarizing your findings, and include one link to a Web site that provides additional details about hackers. (Minimum post size - 150 words) (Deadline: January 31, 2009)

I believe hacking is very illegal when you are on computers. When you hack, it means that you are lie, steal or cheat yourself. I don't like hacking at all, so don't do it.

I feel as though all hackers should be prosecuted due to the increase of stolen idenity epidemic and it is an invasion of privacy ,this country should have enforced some time of top secret clearance for the type of Hacker that is only hacking for the invention of new software, and there should be no hacking for any political concerns, or spys of any kind.
I feel that hackers should be punished. Not only should they be punished but they should also not be allowed to test the security programs. Lastly, I feel that the Patriot Act may invade some of the other people's privacy.
Computer hacking is the oldest meaning of the word hacker in the computer context. In my opinion there is a positive and negative outlook on computer hacking. Computer hacking has becamr more popular with high school and college students. However people hack into computers for many different reasons but if caught there are major consequences. computer hacking is a federal crime. The impact of computer hacking varies from simply being simply invasive and annoying to illegal.Hacking has became a danger increased in our society.
The word "Hack" means a quick fix to computer program, or a solution to a computer problem. Hacking therefore, is the process of gaining access to security/insecurity area in other to fix a problem. With time, people starts to use their knowledge to access others computer system illegally; known as cracking. The USA Patriot Act of 2001 was to intercept and obstruct terrorism. As a result, telephone conversations, any internet transaction, or radio communication can be intercepted without the knowledge of the users.
This is a breach of privacy. With the ability to intercept others conversations, the people in charge can as well use the technology to their advantages. After all, this is how hacking begins. As more people knows how to intercept transactions, the more hackers. Irrespective of the purpose, anybody hacking, or cracking into others personal business without authorization has committed a crime, has been exposed to others secrets and affairs, and could probably inflict a damage. Therefore, all hackers are guilty, and should be punish by law. (Benjamin Bolaji)

I do not condone hacking at all period. However we as cyber users have learned a lot from hackers. I think all hackers should be prosecuted equally and the same. Hacking is a serious offense dealing with peoples lives, money, and personal information. Recent example could be when a Senator of Tennessee’s son hacked into Sarah Palin’s personal email account. That was Gov Palin’s private and personal life and that college kid should of never done that and I think hacking should be prosecuted the same across the board especially in that instance because you had the potential Vice President of the U. S of America’s email account broken into. Hacking is very unethical and violators should be dealt with harshly. The only time I would feel hacking to be justifiable would be in a state of national security and then should be closely monitored and with the USA Patriot Act of 2001 to help prevent another 9/11. In conclusion hacking is illegal and those who do it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Congress should work on new laws for stricter and harsher penalties and the only time it should be done is by a Federal Government Agency who is doing so only in a state of national security and that agency should be over watched by another government agency to keep them honest. Just look back a couple years ago if that when someone hacked into the Veterans database and content was taken from warriors and war heroes. It’s not right.
The word hacker can be defined as a slang word for a computer enthusiast or can be used to describe a thief stealing and corrupting data. Now days many hackers are being used in a positive way. For example in 1960 MIT (Massachusetts institute of technology) launched the free software movement. Allowing promote user's rights to access and modify software. The world wide web and the internet are also hacker artifacts. I also believe that police are using hackers to help them find out needed information to crack or solve a case. I do not believe that all hackers should be prosecuted. Some hackers are used for important situations and some hackers find new discovers, but the ones that should be prosecuted are the ones that do not have any good intention behind their hacking work.

I feel that hacking is wrong to do on a computer because it means you are cheating on the computer. What are you going to do on the computer? Play a game, surf on the internet or steal some information that could be important to someone so that means you are stealing or have gain access.
While I do believe that some hackers are providing a valuable service to all of us, I also believe that they should be obligated to lawfully do so. If the law is not fair, it should be changed or modified. Breaking laws is not the answer. It is clear that the intention of some of the hackers is good. That does not excuse unlawful behavior. As far as prosecution goes, aggressively pursuing certain types of hackers should not be a top priority for law enforcement. Each individual case should be examined and addressed accordingly. If law enforcement is busy tracking down some of the hackers that are committing essentially victimless crimes, they will not have as much time to serve and protect the public in real life situations. The story that I linked to is a good example of that I think does not deserve the attention of law enforcement. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/09/29/fbi_bypasses_first_amendment/

Hacking is a full time job for some. They spend their entire life on how to get over on people and the system. If these people took time to do what was right than wrong imagine what a life they could really have. Invading on someone life is an old thing that has become the most accessible to everyone who takes the time to invade on your life.

I believe that hacking should be illegal and remain so. Even though fraud and theft has always been among us the internet has made this more prevalent. In my opinion hacking is symbolic of actual breaking and entering. Are we not entitled to our privacy even on the internet?
Hackers are bottom dwellers the same as pulling and going through someone’s garbage for personal information. The ideal that hackers substantiate the fact that they are indeed helping these companies test their security process is out right bogus. It is preposterous stealing is stealing – plain and simple.
I heard about the Patriot Act but did not have a full understanding as to what it was. According to Wikipedia the USA PATRIOT Act, commonly known as the PATRIOT Act, is a controversial Act of Congress that U.S. President George Walker Bush signed into law on October 26, 2001. The contrived acronym stands for "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001". The Act increases the ability of law enforcement agencies to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial and other records; eases restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States.
The Patriot Act and hacking are two different things. One is for the purpose of national security and hacking is for the purpose of personal gain whatever the maybe to that particular hacker. –Victoria Murphy
personally i feel that any kind of hacking is not acceptable. Invading a person's personal e-mail, banking accounts or anything of the sort is completely unacceptable or shouldn't be tolerated.

Jody A. Lee
I believe that the only time hacking is exceptable is for the purpose of national/legal security. Such as tracking down petifiles or protecting our country from terrorists. Otherwise hacking is unethical and an invasion of personal privacy. All bad-intentioned hackers should be prosecuted harshly .
Everything we do on the internet is fueled by us hackers. Most of us are so well trained in the workings of a computer that we do things like program for Microsoft during the day, but at night we hack things like our PSP's or our TIVO's for added functionality. Not all of us are here to steal your identity or ruin your lives. I think that the sentences for hackers who are violating peoples privacy, or the rights of corporations are well deserved. For those of us who hack just for fun we do not deserve to be lumped into the same category as such people.

A hacker is a computer user who attempts to gain unauthorized access to proprietary computer systems, I personal believe that all hackers should be held responsible for there actions and should be punish. There are laws against hackers but to what degree. A slap on the risk? No, this person should do time for the crime and even worst NO computer privileges. Because in the end we has citizens will pay the price.

I believe a hacker is a hacker for whatever reason it is conducted you should not be able to do it. A hacker who does it it illegal can cause vital harm to someone life with the information they obtain. A hacker whoes intentions is not to violate people life but use to post certain beliefs is wrong because of what you believe someone else may be offend by it, and the conceptd that follows behind it. Security program should be more discreet. www.sciencedaily.com/videos/2008/0407
Computer has become an essential part of everyday lives. On thursday January 23 One of the biggest technology based magazines incorrectly reported that apple CEO STEVE JOBS from wire had complications resulted from heart failure. Weird magazine website(weird.com) was allergedly hacked into by prankers who published false article on the website and proceed to share the link to the sites of social networking website. It appears as a simple hoax, the false article has caused quite a stir in the technology world.Even though it was posted on the site for about two hours before being discovered as false, links to the article spread quickly and the false report was seen by thousand of online viewers.Posting false reports on reputable websites, confusing the public.hackers attempt has be costly for apple because apple have to continually monitor online news media, and ensure that false reports are identified removed promptly.Moreso, hackers are inserting hundreds of spammy links that point to drugs, credit cards, and gambling related sites into the header and footer files and then making them not visible. When viewing your blog page with a simple CSS manipulation is rife,it rampid, its really big problem and the majority of everyday bloggers don't have a clue they have been hacked and infected with spammy links that would punish their sites and any site that is affiliated via link inbound or out bound.I do not condone hacking at all.Proper and drastic measures should be taken by appropriate authority to prosecute defaulters to the fullest extent of law
Hacking into a computer is a highly punishable criminal act. And is a knowledge that shouldn't be used. Personaly if you have the knowledge to hack into a computer you should use that knowledge for good instead of bad. For an example the military or government could more than likely used somebody with these types of skills.
I do believe that hacking is illegal and wrong. That is just like breaking into some one house to see if there alarm system works. Just because you trying to see if the alarm system works, that does not give you the right to break into someone else’s house. There may be some good out of it like better security for computer and things like that but at the end of the day it is still wrong. So I feel like you would have to prosecute all hackers. You cannot just let some people break into your stuff and it is ok and not let others.

COMPUTER HACKING IN THIS SOCIETY TO DAY IS REALLY NOT HEARD OF... MANY PEOPLE DONT REALLY BELIVE THAT THEIR COMPUTER WOULD GET BROKEN INTO. SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES FOLLOW RIGHT BEHIND COMPUTER HACKING BECAUSE ITS IS A CRIME. COMPUTER HACKING IS BASICALLY INVADING SOMEONES PERSONAL SPACE AND U COULD BE CHARGED WITH FRAUD. I REALLY DO THINK THAT COMPUTER HACKERS SHOULD BE PROSECUTED. HARMLESS OR NOT THAT IS STILL ILLEGAL. A CRIME IS A CRIME. MANY PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THE HARM THAT IS CAUSE BY COMPUTER HACKING. IDENTITY THEFT CAN HAPPEN, PERSONAL INFORMATION CAN BE SOLEN LIKE CREDIT CARD NUMBERS AND BANK ACCOUNT THEFT. PUNISHMENT IS REQUIRED BEHIND THIS TYPE OF ACTION. IF A PERSON FEELS THE NEED TO BRAKE AN INTERY THEY CAN SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES BEHIND THEIR OWN ACTIONS.....

i believe that hacking is wrong when i think of hackers i think of my mom going threw my room as a child and throwing out my favorite but old things and its wrong and just shouldnt be done! and if done i think u should be prosacuted

I think hackers get the proper punishment like jailtime and have their access to computer taken away or they cannot access internet a certain amount of time. Also hacking is illegal and should not be tolerated because people who hacks are invading into someone's else privacy so is wrong and they need to be prosecuted
Kenny Rhea
I believe hacking is wrong. that stuff is oour private info and neither the government or other people have the right to invade that privacy. all hackers should be hanged :)
Robert Hervey
I believe hackers should only be prosecuted if they are using their hacking abilities for the wrong things. A good example would be if they decide to hack into your computer to find your banking information or your social security card number. Some students know how to hack into computers in order to change their grades, different acts such as this should by all means lead the person to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If in some way the hacker hurts someones life or destroys important information then they should be prosecuted by our justice system. Destroying someone credit history is an invasion of privacy and i think we should prosecute that hacker. I'm not saying all hackers should be thrown in jail because if they was true then all of the teenagers that hack myspace, facebook, youtube etc, should all be in jail or at least in court right not. The larger the hack the larger the time, example would be spreading viruses on a national security level than would require the help of the government.

I believe hacking is illegal because you're accessing other parties personal files. I believe that if it's not pertaining to a threat to the entire nation, then there is not a legitimate reason why anyone should be hacking into anyone's or anything's personal files. I think that if anyone's found hacking, then they should be punished to the fullest.
Back in 1999, hackers responded to a six-state FBI sweep of about 20 suspected hackers by attacking several government Internet locations, forcing the FBI, the Interior Department, and the U.S. senate to temporarily shut down their web site. (News.com, 1999).
This incident in itself could have been more disastrous than it was if anything happened during the period that the site was shut down. I feel that the government along with many corporations and businesses are investing alot of time and money on security against hackers and that the punishment should be SEVERE. Even if they only hacked a medicocre site for fun, then they should be punished as if they hacked a more important site because there should be examples made of people who hacks.
Joshua Whatley
Personally I believe that all hacking is really morally wrong. Everyone who is caught hacking in any form should be criminally charged and criminally prosecuted. Although theses are my beliefs everyone may not feel how I feel. The hackers that are hacking to let theses big time corporations know that is was easy for them to need to start up something that lets the head of theses corporations know that it was easy for them to do, and they should take more measures to keep it from happening again. I think that the hackers that are doing it for this purpose should make it a profession instead of doing it illegally. If you have a skill at something then why not be a professional with it. The hackers that are hacking to steal identities and money should really be prosecuted for their actions. because it is just robbing, stealing, and a form of terrorism; it just isn't done in a face to face situation.
I think that computer hacking is wrong because it is stealing another persons personal information. Most people work really hard to get the things that they have to just let someone that is spying online or at an atm machine to come take from them.I feel like people who hack into other peoples computers and stiill their social security numbers to use them to get thing th=at they are to sorry to go and work fo r a low life and should all be put in jail. on the other hand I think the onl time hacking should be leagal is when it has something to do with our goverment and trying to stop tereoristic threats or things like that.;
Hacking is wrong. hackers should be prosecuted. To enter a computer system or someone elses software illegally using a modem, which they are not authorized access to is wrong. Hackers spends time and money trying to get hardworking people's information thereby spreading computer worms and viruses in the internet. Government should be involved in tracking and prosecuting hackers because hackers can cause damages to government websites by spreading viruses to government financial, medical system, and personal activities that concerns the Government.

I believe that all hacking is not illegal. Although there are many people in the world who do illegal things while hacking, some forms of hacking may be beneficial to our country such as homeland security. By tapping in others network our government is able to find videl information about terrorist. If we look at hacking from a different aspect we see that our government hacks all the time, going through others IP address to solve crimes. Hacking into companies network to track suspects all of these are examples yet they are benifical.Take the Iphone for example over the millions sold around the world thousands have been unlocked to work for other network providers. One might say the hacked phone is not harmful because others have the same phone, but if you was to look at the situation in the same way as a identity theft , you would see that both situations are wrong.

I feel that hacking is wrong. But just like we have different levels of punishment for different crimes depending on their severity, it should also be that way for hacking. Because in some cases these “Hackers” are just trying to express themselves more then putting our country in danger. As far as the Patriot Act of 2001, I feel for us to be able to have more protection sometimes we do have to give up some our privacy, it isn’t fair but how else would you be able to catch someone in the act. With out giving someone warning you are more likely to see what they are really up to.
Hacking has several related meanings in the technology and computer science fields. It may refer to a clever or quick fix to a computer program problem, or to what may be perceived to be a clumsy or inelegant (but usually relatively quick) solution to a problem. The term is also used to refer to a modification of a program or device to give the user access to features that were otherwise unavailable, such as DIY circuit bending. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hack_(technology_slang). There are still people out there that will not follow the rules. They will hack into your personal information and take everything that you have worked hard for. For this reason there should be some type of laws set in place by the Federal Government. These laws should be set in place for the criminally minded with penalties if caught. After stating this regarding laws I found an interesting article "Computer Hacking Laws: Are These Laws Really Effective? So there are laws set up but are they effective? Like any other law, the effectiveness must be determined by its deterrence. While there will always be those that want to see if they can do it, and get away with it (any crime), there are always the many more who may not do something if they are aware of its unlawfulness - and possible imprisonment.
In the early 1990's, when hacker efforts stopped AT&T communications altogether, the U.S. Government launched its program to go after the hackers. This was further stepped up when government reports (by the GAO) indicate that there have been more than 250,000 attempts to hack into the Defense Department computers. First there were the laws - now came the bite behind it. One of the effects of computer hacking brought about focused efforts to catch them and punish them by law.
Then, more recently, the U.S. Justice Department reveals that the National Infrastructure Protection Center has been created in order to protect our major communications, transportation and technology from the attack of hackers. Controlling teens and hackers has become the focus of many governmental groups to stop this maliciousness against individuals, organizations, and nations.
i think every hacker should be punished no matter what their offense is. hacking is the reason that identity theft is the number one growing crime in america today. if you are hacking, that means you are electronically breaking into someone elses computer or computer network. in the real world if you break into a house even if you just want to look around, you would still be arrested and taken to jail for breaking and entering. i do not see the difference from breaking into a house and breaking into a computer besides the fact that most bugulars are violent while most hackers are passive geeks.

i think that if hackers commit a crime they should be prosecuted because many hackers are in it for themselves and they destroy other peoples property by leaving viruses to mess your computer up

Today’s definition of hacking is the act of illegally gaining access to someone's computer for the purpose of destroying, carrying out illegal activities. No one under any circumstances has the right to invade your privacy, read your e-mail, defraud your accounts, or alter and gain access to your information in any manner. It is wrong, plain and simple. It is as wrong as murder, rape and armed robbery. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to re-evaluate their morals. The fact that your personal information is on the computer and the person does not have your permission to access your information is both immoral and illegal. The law needs to prosecute these persons and put them behind bars and set a legal precedence for such cases. Everyday there are thousands of people affected by these reckless hackers. People fall into debt, receive horrible credit ratings, which can never be reversed even if you did prove you were hacked, and generally, ruins lives.
Ryan Kiplinger
In my opinion, there are really no justifiable means for computer hacking. Computer hacking, regardless of whether it is for a noble cause or not, should be illegal. I personally think that computer hacking is a violation of ones, or an organizations, right to privacy and secure information. The only time I can imagine computer hacking being of a greater use is if it used by law enforcement to retrieve information from a criminal.

i believe ALL hackers should be Prosecuted for many different reasons. hackers steal personal information and use it ileagally, they put bugs into important websites and information, they steal identities, and much more. many sites that are 'secured' can and are broke into by hackers. identity theft is on the rise especially during the recession. credit now a days is very important and people take pride in it because with bad credit there is not much you can do. credit takes a while to build and wants its destroyed it will take a while to get cleared and rebuild. you need credit for almost everything, to buy a car, a house, rent an appt, get credit cards, to finance, and more. so i think if a hacker puts a person through this much trounle they should b held accounted for it and prosecuted. as far as hacking in computers and security i am not to sure about how that works but here is a link that can further help explain it...

i think all hacker's should be prosecuted. Hacking to me is invading someone else's personal space or finding out other people's personal information. A hacker to me is invading people's human rights of privacy. people mostly know about hackers because they get into other people's computer systems, some times they steal their credit card information and sometimes they go so far as to steal another person's identity. http://www.cmswire.com/cms/web-cms/how-they-hack-your-website-overview-of-common-techniques-002339.php this site show's the techniques hackers use to get into systems.

In today’s world, information technology has opened the door for trespassers to enter our lives through an unseen break into our home and business computers. Computer users who break into other people’s computers without permission are called hackers. Most hackers break into computer systems to steal personal identities, and banking account information. Computer hackers share the blame for the world’s current economical, societal, and ethical demise. When the Government passed the Patriot Act of 2001 and the 2006 Amendments to the act, it allowed federal, state and local government authorities the right to tap communications equipment in an effort to subdue criminal and terrorist violence planned through communications equipment. This act was put together after the 911 attacks to protect the United States and its citizens from terroristic threats. It is my belief that computer hackers who intend on stealing and terrorizing should be prosecuted. Computer hackers that change others work such as postings, software, and operating system behavior are invading privacy and copyrighted materials. Interference of this sort should be subject to laws similar to copyright fines just like “piracy of movies and music”. Large companies hire security specialist and give their so called hackers the right to break through firewalls into their own computer network systems in order to better their security. Hacker that are hired by a company as an employee should not be subject to legal action.

Although I believe computer manufacturers should have a better security system that helps prevent illegal hackers, Hacking is a wrong. Thats a bunch of bull for hackers using the excuse of human speech rights. Immoral acts should be prosecuted with no hesitation.
The increase in comuter hacking has lead to people around the world being terrified of sharing information on the internet. Shopping online is just as dangerous as giving your credit card number out for everybody to see. With identaty theft on the rise, consumers are forced to pay extra money for programs that supposably will prevent hackers from infiltrating their computer and getting access to their personal information. However, even with increased security programs hackers are still finding ways to infiltarte thes programs to accomplish their goals. Culprits of hacking into computers should be pursicuted to the highest extent of the law. I do not think this will prevent hackers from attempting to hack computers due to the inability to catch cyber hackers, but will pursicut those that can be caught. New programs should be designed not only to prevent cyber hacking but to be able to trace where the hacking originated to find the culprit.
I feel that hacking is ok if it's done for invention of new software that could help us along in the furture. however, i still belive that it should be monitored at a very high rate. in order to make sure that they are not doing so for peasonal gain of anysort. foe example hackers that are only doing so to steal ones information should be prosecuted to the fullest. because trying to recover from idenity theft is hard to do. so the theives could really change aperson's live. for example it could set their plans for an house or car futher back. which can become very stressful and embrassing.
S. COTTON I believe that hacking is very wrong. Everyone is entitled to their privacy. Some people hack to find out information about a person’s life. Some might hack to sabotage someone’s reputation. Whatever the case is it is still wrong. I have never hacked into someone else’s mail, but I know people that have. When you invade a person’s privacy you find out things that will make you mad and hurt your feelings. I think is kind of crazy to hack. I would not even have time to try to figure out passwords and all that other nonsense. I would just ask the person about the situation instead of snooping around. If someone hacked into my mail I would be really mad. I don’t hide anything. I would tell them the truth. I hate sneakiness. Hacking is very sneaky and mean. I don’t condone it at all. But I guess people do what they got to do.
I believe hacking should be illegal, regardless of what or whom you are hacking into, it's still an invasion of privacy. Some hackers say, that they are only looking for ways to better improve the security of the website, there are others trying to receive valuable information from them. (Credit card numbers, ect). So much of our lives are now on our computers, hacking, in a way, is the same as breaking and entering. While Hacking can be used for some sort of protection, you still open yourself up to a threat. Even with the Patriot Act, you are trading Liberty for protection. The argument is that if you are not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. But, I still view it as an invasion of privacy. Not many people would put up with a spouse or significant other listening into phone calls, or reading emails, even if they were not cheating. It makes the person who is being “spied on” feel not trusted, or like a criminal. Even though our country is at a “high alert”. I still believe we should use ethical ways to track down terrorists.

Hacking is a very inmoral and illegal practice. i feel that hackers should get the maximum punishment by law. hacking is worse than robbing some one in person because when you hack you are robbing someone behind their back without them suspecting a single thing.
I feel all hackers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, because to me that is like going into someones house and robing them of thier personal belongings. No matter if you hack a personal computer of a friend or the US Government you should face criminal time in jail. What gives hackers the right to commit this type of crime even if they say it should cause corporations to increase there security. I don't feel hacking is a freedom of speech, it is snooping in other peoples businessand this is one of the reason there is so many stolen identity cases. I feel the USA Patriot Act of 2001 was ok because it helped to fight terrorism but also it might crack down on the hackers.

I think that hacking is wrong no matter what because it's just like cheating. People that hack should have to deal with the consequences of their actions.

TO ME HACKING IS A SENSE OF VIOLATING ONES PRIVACY. ITS BEEN USED FOR YEARS TO UNCOVER THE GOVERNMENTS BIGGEST SECRETS AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PROTECTION FOR THE COUNTRY OR ANYONE IN IT TO BE COMPLETELY SAFE. THE BIGGEST HACKERS ARE KNOWN TO COME OUT OF RUSSIA AND MOST ARE VERY YOUNG BOYS. THEY RANGE FROM AGE 14 AND UP. THE HACKERS STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLES ONLINE BANKING AND ALSO IDENTITIES FROM SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS. I BELIEVE THE COUNTRY IS GOING TO BE TAKEN OVER EVENTUALLY BECAUSE OF TEH LACK OF SECURITY. WITH THE HACKERS BEING SO SUFFICIENT WHO KNOWS HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO GET INTO THE GOVENTMENT SECURITY SYSTEM.
Because hacking is clearly illegal, hackers should definitely have some type of punishment for their wrong doings. It is unfair that they can invade someone's privacy. Even though their hacking skills can make corporations practice better and more efficient security, it is still wrong.

hacking in to private files is unacceptable. all hackers should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. people should also do more to prevent thier computers from being hacked into by downloading anti hacking software
